DDA is a new format for your collection and enjoyment of music. It’s not here to replace the CD and we’re not saying it’s a better way to acquire and enjoy music than purchasing from online stores - or the other options that have recently been made available. However, it’s a new, affordable and very exciting option that embraces the internet and mobile technology and will suit a wide variety of music lovers... try it out... here are some of its features:

By choosing the DDA option, for around the same price as its CD equivalent, you’ll be pleased to not only get all the same content and functionality of the CD version – but a new world more options.

With a DDA, you can continue to receive content direct from the artist – plus access all your content from any internet connected computer – even from your mobile phone.... so much more content can be available..... and much more functionality already is.
The Content of any DDA is... ‘fluid’.... by this we mean the artist and labels behind each DDA can be constantly adding new content for you. They post it up into everyone’s ‘myDDA’ – your online, digital locker – and you can then acquire it from there, at your will. For example, Skipping Girl Vinegar could perform a great gig whilst touring Perth – they have a bunch of live photos taken of them and by midnight post them up into your ‘myDDA’ for you to add to your DDA...and enjoy.
Each DDA is created and maintained by the artist and/or label themselves, so your Activation of a DDA means you’ve now got a direct link to them! They can participate in the exclusive forums – so you can communicate with them. They can send you news through D:News and they can even email you if they choose. Of course, they will also regularly provide new content for you to enjoy.
Once you’ve successfully Activated your DDA, you can at any time enter your mobile phone number (in the MY PROFILE section of myDDA) and click the link – this will send, via SMS, a link to your mobile phone.... use the link to download to your phone a mobile version of ‘myDDA’ – from then on, you can access all your content on your mobile, whenever you choose. You can also follow your Forum posts and replies and check the latest D:NEWS – on your mobile!
As well as using your mobile phone and its myDDA application, you can also access your content from any computer that is connected to the internet – simply login using your email address and password.

Each DDA makes it easy to export your content, to other handy places. For example, build your favourite track list in the DDA then export it into iTunes, if that’s your favourite music player. From there it will sync with your iPod. Or export it to a CD-R, if you still use CDs in the car.

The company behind the DDA format isn’t what is creating each DDA – nor maintaining them. We have simply built the technology to enable artists to do it all themselves so you will see in each DDA, a true reflection of the artists’ creativity. They will be the ones who keep your DDA fresh. DDA is all about connecting you with the artists that you like – this is just as important to the artists as it is you.
Each DDA comes with an exclusive Forum so that you can network with other people from all over the world who have purchased and activated the same DDA. There will also be access to genre based Forums which will open access to all Activated Users of a particular musical genre. Ideally, many artists will also participate in their own Forums – so you can communicate with them.

Every DDA contains a global news feed - called D:NEWS. Basically it's music headlines from media all around the world. Click on any headline which interests you and we’ll take you to the publisher of the story and you can stay in touch, it’s that simple, that handy.

We’ve also developed an application for Facebook users (also at no extra cost to you) – you can grab the myDDA app from the MUSIC section of available apps at Facebook – from then on, you can access all your content and Forum posts/replies, within Facebook!
Yes, the DDA format has been developed for both MACs and PCs... there are differences in how the two work – as there are with anything in a PC v MAC world but both provide all the functionality we list here.
A DDA isn’t about file formats... it’s about letting you enjoy music however you like to. The artists can – and most often will – make a variety of formats available. Typically each DDA USB will come pressed with the tracks as MP3 files – as this is what makes sense. But then, if you want to burn your own personal use CD, you first go into myDDA and acquire the .WAV file versions.
Even though a DDA offers a pile of user friendly options, we’ve designed it to be sold at current CD prices – so buy a DDA for what you’d expect to pay for a CD. Even though you have ongoing connectivity and can receive more content – neither us or the artists will charge you ongoing subscription fees!
